Well, if you understand this is a MAJOR issue, especially a MAJOR function of the phone. A developer shouldn't release a product that has this ISSUE. Bugs and bug fixes are expected but MAJOR functions should be addressed in R and D or beta reseases, not final reseases. Verizon should compensate us in some way, ie: free visual voicemail until the issue is resolved. I'm so used to seeing my notifications and i can miss very important client calls. I have no sympathy for the developers when they release a product that's flawed.

Well you got your wish, they pulled the OTA update to fix the notification issue, like I figured they would in time.

"The software update for the Thunderbolt has been delayed due to the voicemail notification error. A fix will be available soon."

Thank you everyone for your comments and I understand why you would be upset about this issue. Our product team is working with HTC to resolve this issue as soon as possible. We do not have a date on the fix at this time. Once we have more information, we will share that info.
