At least Verizon is consistent. They are ALWAYS the last carrier to push software updates to their customers. Way to take care of your customers, VZW.

Are you sure? The Android 4.3 update for the Samsung Galaxy S4 on Verizon Wireless is pushing out now and was released before any of the other US carriers.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

not to be nit picky, but the tweet was from HTC. HTC said "we" need more time, so I wouldn't necessarily solely blame verizon.

Typical.
They rush the S4 update which wasn't supposed to be available til the end of Nov.
Gee I wonder who they're in bed with.
Verizon is purposely jeopardizing HTC.
They ARE the reason for the delay.
I mean come on. Ever other carrier signed on to carry the ONE from the get go. 4.3 went out to every other carrier's ONE without a hitch. The S4 got it ahead of schedule.
Verizon IS to blame once again. Make HTC jump through hoops again HTC.

After the way VZW botched the updates on the Galaxy Nexus nothing surprises me about them. On that note, I read that Sprint is starting to push 4.3 out to it's Galaxy Nexus handsets. I wonder how many months it will take VZW.

go check out the s4 forums here. you're correct. they did "rush" it to the s4, and it's obvious that there are already a number of issues because of this.

So according to HTC they will have Kit Kat within 90 days to the ONE on ALL carriers.
I'm wondering if Verizon will let this happen and if that's the reason for the delay? Maybe they are skipping 4.3 and going straight to 4.4.
That would be the prudent thing for verizon to do, since they are the only carrier not offering the Nexus handset.
I mean come on verizon!!! Why can't you just give people what they want?
If they don't allow the 4.4 upgrade to happen within the 90 days, they will be under a lot of fire.

For what it's worth I was told by a VZW rep on Thursday that the 4.3 update is scheduled to start pushing out on 11-20-2013. That was before HTC made their statement about 4.4 being ready for all devices within 90 days.
If HTC continues to be very vocal about their update schedules then VZW can't blame any delays on anyone but themselves. We shall see. I for one would be happy to forego 4.3 right away if it means we'll get 4.4 within a few months.
