very clear that you are determined to confuse the actual with smoke screens. Its of no significance to keep mentioning they don\t profit from sales of phones. why don't you address the real issue here appropriately. you make it sound as if poor customer service is acceptable, liing to customers is acceptable, because of all the costs involved in sustaining a company. well climb back into your corporate cubicle because my phone isn\t broke, it works fine. but I as a consumer hold that poor customer service should be loud and clear, and verizon refusing to address its many constituents because they already have them locked into their profits generator is clear as a bell. you sir are under paid for your diligence to defend this company, and frankly your persistence to aviod being truthful about the clearly stated issues makes it obvious that you are not worthy of comment.

You are the one using smoke screens.  Do you complain to your bank when your car is having trouble?  No you go to the manufacturer.  You are expecting the wrong people to do someone elses job or even take a loss for you.  You will get the same result no matter what carrier you go with.  T-Mobile bent over backward as much as they could and they went further into the hole.  They changed a lot of their policies as it was running them dry.

So what does HTC getting the Verizon short stick have to do with customer service any?

and by the way I spent half my career buiding fighter jets and the other half in engineering and design and repair in the steel industry. i don\t need or care about your supposed knowledge of corporate and developmental financing. it has absolutely nothing to do with those of us that expect verizon to honor its ics promise still today. HTC made it obvious that verizon is the only holdup in this being sent out. Verizon wants to thumb their nose at HTC and we have to wait till egos are satisfied. the fact that moto went first as a corp. decision is of no significance since this hold up was promised quite awhile ago and the only reason it hasn't been recieved is because big red has been thumbing its nose at HTC. perhaps your the brainchild behind this arrogance, you sure seem to be spending alot of time defending it.

Exactly where's the proof of this?  Where has HTC flat out said Verizon is the hold up?  Is this coming from the higher ups or some rep who thinks that what it is?

I still don't see how an update from HTC is part of customer service part of Verizon.  HTC still developed the device...

Wow, miss a couple days and the thread blows up... I don't have time for this, but I have one thing to say.  Regardless of what anybody said, ICS will get here when it gets here.  You bought the phone as is, and if it doesn't work properly and you didn't return it within the 14 day period, then you are stuck with it, or a CLNR to replace the non-functional one.

From HTC. Those are not hard dates specified by HTC. There are other devices that have not gotten updated that match that same timeline as the rezound.

, take into account that verizon is at the mercy of the manufacturers when it comes to things like updates and bug fixes. I'm not an expert, but I don't think steel and jet fighter engineering compared to small electronic device development. Not discrediting you in anyway.

At anyrate, its kind of a mess between the manufacturers and the carriers, sans profits and costs. Personally, I think the bloatware is what makes it difficult for the manufacturers to push out updates in a timely manner. Gotta make sure those advertisements verizon is getting paid for are in your face everyday!

Also, when it comes to anything gadget related, its never anything new when a release is delayed. The need for instant gratification in society causes unrest and pressure the manufacturers to release a device or they will take their business elsewhere. So manufacturers rush out a product to get that paper and then let the low level employees eat the complaints when the problems arise from an under developed product.

Sometimes, I miss my good old krzr.

I will probably annoy Verizon's Customer Dissatisfaction Team this afternoon with another phone call about the Rezound update.  All kidding aside, if Verizon wants to annoy HTC that's their right.  They don't have to carry HTC phones, but in the process of annoying HTC, they are alienating their customer base who chose to buy an HTC device.  Come on Verizon, soak test the update or just release it already.  The sooner you do... the sooner we will leave you alone.
