okay here we are waiting on the ics update for the rezound and already it has been replaced by "jelly bean" wtf Verizon you make it impossible to have the best for more than a week. I have had 6 rezounds so far and been promised ICS many times. even by the executive office. in the meantime they roll out new phones with better software and it just makes me sick to see this. This week though was the last straw VIRGIN MOBILE is releasing a prepaid HTC phone that comes with ICS for $199.00 no contract at $35 a month unlimited everything! Meanwhile I'm sitting here buried in a contract with 5 phones on it. NONE with the latest software.Come on Verizon lets get in the game or atleast allow reasonable trade ins. I think now that VIRGIN MOBILE has a better prepaid phone than any of my contract phones you might see the way of the world.

So which device has Virgin Mobile have ALREADY been released that has ICS for an update?  Of course new devices tend to have the newest OS and all, but I haven't seen very many already out having ICS from factory or even sight of an update to ICS.

They actually do.  They have the HTC One V for $199 and a 4G WiMax version for $299.

Since Virgin Mobile is actually owned by Sprint it looks like rather than close the coffin on WiMax, they are rolling it out to their VM customers and building a new LTE for Sprint customers.

HTC One V is a NEW product.  Show me one that is ALREADY released and has an ICS update.  None...

the htc one V is a new product for sale no contract $199. Verizon has no deals like that on any product with ICS . I was in the VZW store today in Alpharetta GA. 90% of the android phones are sold with gingerbread. All i'm asking for is a fair shot at a current update. What I did do today was take advantage of the share everything to save about a $100 a month.

Of course not. It's a economy model. It may not even see an update never. It's a throw away phone. You are going to cry to Virgin when JB is released and 1 year later whatever version comes out and may only get one of them at best.

tidbits,

of course its a economy model. its pathetic a copany like virgin has a phone with a newer operating systyem than mine. That was the whole point to my post. And really who is to say that when JB will be released? They are taking preorders on GS3 with an obsolete OS right now. Its ridiculous

How is it an obsolete OS version? It's the newest version available.

The point is.  IT'S NEWER and ICS is already released.  When JB is released in a week or two that phone more than likely won't get or any other update period.  So when Windows 8 comes out and are on newer computers doesn't make window 7 obsolete.  People still use the OLDER versions of Linux over the newer versions.  The internet backbone still uses an older version of Linux as well...  The GS3 comes with ICS so how is it obsolete?  So you show a phone that is on Virgin with ICS, but call the one on the GS3 obsolete?  You also know how Google develops the OS that no one can see until it is released by them right?  So how can someone develop the new version of the OS for their devices?

The point I am making show me one of their older Android devices that has ever received an update not one that came out.
