why should I be locked into a as you say a $300 early termination fee when the reasons I want out of my contract is Verizons total misrepresention and blatant disregard for its customers. I live in an area that is well covered by all phone carriers and able to recieve a good signal form them, but not everyone has the same opportunity. ffor lack of a better word Verizon has created a monopoly type senario because many have no choice but to use their service and as made clear Verizon has capitalized on this and have shown a steadily declining regard for its customers. I think this company deserves legislated regulations enacted  to control this abuse.

perhaps you neglected to read the thread subject line demmo. how is it that you feel a forum is solely for ptp support issues. also, you, tidbits, and a few others recieve payment either directly or indirectly from Verizon, verified by logic, noone would spend the hours day after day defending and whitewashing issues as your group does without an incentive..If i'm wrong in this assumption then you people have issues. So why don't you define that incentive to us.

Care to wager on that?  You may call it defending, but all I see is people putting words into things to get what they want 99% of the time.  There was never even an implied promise or a hard date.  If you go to AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, or what not carrier you run into the same thing you run into Verizon.  What makes your device so special?

If they gave us a hard date... then they would be Apple .  Apple never misses a software delivery date.  My wife has had two iPhones, so I know.

Anyway, I hate to keep beating the November Press Release dead horse, but that release said will be available in Early 2012.

Just what the heck does will be and early 2012 mean to you?

I think the problem here is/was Verizon.  I think they were not happy with the ICS update, not happy that their Bloatware did not work (I pointed out way earlier that I could not get Blockbuster, Need for Speed, or Lets Golf 2 on my ICS tablet) and to make matters worse, then they demanded HTC make the Rezound a world phone along with the Razr phones by Motorola (they just rolled their update out).

The phone may have a sim card slot, but I don't believe the radio's were set up for GSM frequencies.  If Verizon wants a world phone... get a Blackberry.

I really want to believe HTC would have hit the date they specified if Verizon would just be the silent partner they are supposed to be.  They sell the service and the phone.  Nothing more... nothing less..

Well, I just pulled the pin, so to speak.  I ordered a Galaxy S3 @ full, extortionist retail.  As soon as this phone arrives, the Rezound will be making its way to eBay.

Apple never gives a date unless they finish with the update so you get what you perceive. If you join their development program you will see what I am talking about.

You can't get let's golf on a lot of devices. Unless you specifically get it from game loft and it works on ICS.

Thats just my point.  Two weeks before the scheduled release we get a press release that gives us a time frame to expect the update.  That time passes and all we get from both of them is the sound of crickets chirping.  After that we get another vague time frame that we are hakf through and still all we hear are those crickets.  Call HTC to find out that now it could be August if testing doesn't go well.  This is no way to run a business.

That's a game loft deal... Game loft still doesn't even have 1/2 their games in the market for DRM issues. They'd rather you buy it straight from them. This was known since BEFORE the first Nexus was released if I remember correctly. Let's golf doesn't care if you are on gingerbread or ICS. Blockbuster is another one as well.

So your saying HTC and Verizon should keep their mouth shut until 2+ weeks AFTER they finish their update? You can't have it both ways. You either let them keep their mouths shut or you either want more information.

If you join ADC with Apple ($99 a year) you get into their beta program and you can update your devices with the beta.  You will lose all warranty as they device is no longer using a supported OS(sounds much like Android leaked software doesn't it).  When they are finished with the update they release the  GM build which at that time they'll announce ANYTHING about an update.  Then you wait 2 weeks to 1 month to even see that update.
