Who else is having issues with Palm Pre2

I have owned every palm phone ever made and this one is riddled with the most issues ever.

1.  Profile only loaded 1/3 of contacts from my old palm pre

2.  85% of the emails cannot load the body of the text

3.  Must power off and on, then manually push in order to get emails.

 

Palm is not very helpful in solving issues.  They continue to tell me they will call me back.

This is a shame because the keyboard fix since the palm pre plus is perfect now, but the corrupt email client is going to make me have to rethink my phone choice...

Hola,

 

Please ensure the sync settings are provisioned correctly by following the steps below:

 

  1. From the Home screen, select the email icon.
    Email
  2. Select Email > Preferences & Accounts (located at the upper-left corner of the screen).

  3. Select the account.
    Selecciona la cuenta de email
  4. Within the Sync section, select Get email.
    Opción Get email
  5. Select the sync interval.
    • Cuando llegan los artículos

    • 10 minutos
    • 15 minutos

    • 1 hora
    • 6 horas
    • 12 horas
    • 24 horas
    • Manual
      Nota Refer to Performing a manual email sync - Palm Pre.

You may also want to check the software version currently installed on your device. The latest version should reflect:

WEBOS 2.0.1 Build 100

 

To check the software version on your device, please follow the steps below:

 

Open the slide and press "D" or type "Device Info"
Selecciona Device Info
Scroll to Version or Build
Tap to change between version and build

wel i cant say ive ran into this problem, just have a problem geting my live account to sync. but all i have to do is delete and re create it. and kelly, how much longer to update to 2.1?

The body of the email text is displayed as a black box. Most of the time there is no way to get the message.
I talked to HP about this. We rebooted etc to no avail. I was transferred to a specialist. She assisted be through some more diagnostics and then admitted that this was a known problem and that they were working on a fix that would be released as a webOS update sometime soon. I called Verizon. They said it was just slow. They know about the problem, but it's not their fault. Their system is working. The problem is with either the formatting by the sender or something else tha is not their responsibility.

yeah, i've got the same issue. It appears to be isolated to the POP accounts only. All my IMAP accounts work flawlessly. By the way, the work around sometimes, is to go back and forth real quick and sometimes the message displays. I just chose to re-register most of my e-mail to the IMAP accounts.

That last work around works for me, too.  In fact, so well that I don't really consider it a problem (annoyance -- sure; problem -- not so much).  An odd thing:  If I tap the email in the very, very upper left corner, it usually opens fine.  weird.

I have tried that,

 tried erasing and recreating my yahoo account ,

I have the latest software update,

have checked the IMAP settings that are correct ,

 

yet I get this message every time I try to check my email:

Unspecified error:1299 - cookies got from server are empty. Invalid credentials. ( MojErr 3) -- src.commands.AuthYahoo Command.cpp:182

 

 

 

I just upgraded from a palm pre plus and had no yahoo trouble then.

 

 

 

 

 I have been able to send 2 emails though... and my facebook account is working.

I contacted hp/palm support and after a long time on the phone and many restarts and so on they came up with a solution that worked for me :

 Instead of using the preinstalled yahoo settings when creating your account, instead using just "mail" and enter the same settings as for the yahoo.

( imap).

I hope it works for others too!
