Mine also. Was fine until the update 2 days ago. Have a 2010 Ford explorer with the navigation system and was able to hear or read text mesages and reply to them (with the canned replies that ford gives) and now all I get is "Text Messaging is not supported by this device"
Seems android left a lot of things to be desired when they updated.
With all the focus on not "texting and driving" you would have thought that they would have made sure that feature stayed.
I did a bit of research on this issue with Ford Sync. It seems that the compatibility is based off of the particular system you are using.
The phone you are using has the newest updates for the Android Operating system and Verizon Wireless boot loader firmware. Ford Sync by Microsoft may not have the newest firmware installed to function with newer android operating systems. In this case you may have to contact the Ford Dealership to get information regarding how to update the firmware. You may want to take a look at the Motorola forums: https://forums.motorola.com/posts/000d7af03f for more information about this problem, but no real solution unfortunately. It seems pretty widespread.
