Whenever I try to move my music to my phone, I get receive a message saying "Your device may not be able to view or play this file" would you like to continue? The songs are mp3, and even when I move them to the phone, I really can't listen to them. The songs only play when I use a music app. I want to know how I can get them to play in the "Files" app.

When you say that you want to play them in the "files" app, what app is that? What is the name of it? And what does the app do for you? I have the RAZR MAXX and do not have an app called "Files".

The files app that you are referring to is essentially an index of all files stored on either your internal storage or on the sd card inserted into your phone assuming you have a sd card installed. Whenever you try and play a mp3 file it should launch a music player app if you have one installed. There are many good music player apps that are available for free on the play store. My personal favorite is poweramp as well as google music. Both free by the way. Poweramp premium is $3.99 but the trial is free. Almost every file stored on your phone needs some kind of program or app in order to run them.

I have the a music app installed and I do have the google music player also, but whenever I tap the song in the files app it pops up and closes immediately. Does not even ask if I want it played on which music app.

But what happens when you go into the music app and choose the song that you want? Does that work? That would be the best way to do it, that way you have direct access to not only the songs, but to the playlists also..
