Does anyone have experience with mobile credit card processing apps (GOPAYMENT, SQUARE, PAYANYWHERE, etc) On a Droid Razor Maxx HD. Many of the app providers say their card readers and encryption protocols are compatible with the Droid Razor Maxx but questions re: the Razor Max HD get a firm "I dunna know". Would like to hear successes and failures, since I really like my new phone, but will be bummed if it won't let me run a credit card scanner.
Thank you for any help.

I had a Droid X and I currently have a Note 2 and an iPad that I run Square on. I set the account up and didn't use it for several months. You have the one account and can sign in on any device you have the app on. The little card reader is free and plugs in your ear jack. I did a couple of trail runs with my card for $1 each just to see how it worked. It always works fine for me and my clients love getting a text receipt. You could always set it up and try it. It should work on any smartphone with data/wifi capabilities. If it doesn't work no harm done. If you don't use it nothing happens. It doesn't cost you anything. Hope this helps.

The RAZR MAXX and MAXX HD are basically the same phone with only a few minor differences. Did you just get the MAXX HD? Is this something you wanted to do before you got it?

Thanks both to Droid Usrr and Luv7dogz for their replies. Yes wife and I just got our MAXX HD phones, and yes we wanted to use mobile Credit card processsing and didn't check compatibility.
Things have progressed some, I downloaded the Intuit Gopayment app, registered, and ran a manual entry test with a small purchase on one of my cards. Seemed to work fine, but compatibility with the card swipe reader is still a worry. I'll post when I get the unit and test it.

I have tried all these systems it really depends on the features you want and your business structure. If you have low dollar amount transactions the flat rate is the best, but they have limited customer support for any help.
I have not tried these with the razor or MaxxHD but look forward to hearing if they work.
FYI the biggest issue we faced is the readers did NOT plug into our audio headphone jack because of the cases we were using. If you take the case off it worked but who wants to do that. To solve this we purchased some audio extension cables from 8 different places and they never worked. The only ones that worked were from CellPay https://cellpayaccessories.com/affiliate/38/node/882

I have an otterbox on my ipad and I had to trim on it to get my card reader to work. I was careful, trimmed and checked a few times. It works. Just not something everyone would want to do.

We thought about cutting the cases, but in the end we found the solution that solved this and we have spoken to many other business (people of all ages) that don't feel comfortable cutting their case. I agree we saw the youtube too but after the cases are so expensive we didn't want to screw them up. This worked for us. Thanks for your feedback.

Thanks to all for helpful input.
Today I got my card swipe reader from Intuit GoPayment. They were the service that seemed most likely to work. Fired up the app, plugged the card reader into the audio jack (case off) of my Droid Razzor Maxx HD, and tried a small charge. It spent several minutes (at least 5) with a message that said "INITIALIZING CARDREADER (Checking Firmware)" and swirly "busy" arrow. Had to power off to kill it. Same thing on my wife's phone. Tried a few different permutations of app starting before/after card reader plug-in. Seems that until someone updates something that we are stuck with manual entry.

I'm not familiar with Intuit. I don't understand why it wouldn't work. Like I said I used Square on 3 different things and they all worked, even my Droid X which is an older phone. I know the Square card reader is an optional accessory on Verizon for the Droid Razr Maxx HD. I also found this

I don't think I would want to enter it manually every time.

Nope, I don't want to enter manually each time. I'll look harder at SQUARE. Thanks
