I dropped my droid and destroyed the screen. I missed some texts and would like to retrieve them. I can't download any apps with my screen being unusable. Is there a way to get my texts through a USB and my computer?

There's a file called Phone/Messaging Storage 4.1.2-58 (SMS/MMS/APN) that has all your messages stored in it. I don't know how you can get to it without a useable screen. Maybe you can take it to a corporate store and a tech there can back it up. Good Luck!

Alleygator4, I understand that you want to get your text messages from your phone. As SoccerRef mentioned there are some apps that allow you to backup SMS, but even after downloading there may be some steps you'll need to take. You can try downloading an app via market.android.com and see if there are any apps that allow you to download and don't need additional steps to backup. We are unable to backup devices in store.
