wifi and 3g ?

before when i would hit my wifi at the house the blue wifi bars showed up on my droid x. I just noticed both the blue bars and the 3g indicators are both showing up any reason? never did that before that i noticed ???

When I have a WIFI connection the 3g bars also show up at the same time.  I think it's supposed to be that way.

I've had my phone for almost 3 weeks and I noticed it doing that for the first time last night. I just shut it down and pulled the battery out and restarted and it went away.
