It is an update to 2.2. The only thing I have heard about it is, it adds the VZW VCast App market. Does the other app marketplace go away??? I do not know

Here's the link to the Verizon support page describing the update:

From what I read on PC Magazine.com and PCWorld.com, the VZW App Store will be in addition to the Android Marketplace. Developers will have the option to sell their apps in either or both marketplaces. The main advantage of the VZW App Store is that when you purchase apps, the cost gets automatically added to your phone bill, rather than having to use Google Checkout. The disadvantage is that there is no definite refund policy with VZW, whereas with the Android Marketplace, you could get a refund within 24 hrs.

Now ... if they would just come out with an update that would improve call quality ... isn't that, after all, what a phone is for. I appreciate the ability to dash off a text message here and there, but when someone calls, I get tired of asking them to repeat themselves because it sounds like they have a bag over their head as they are speaking.
The Incredible is a great little mini-computer, but it's one of the worst phones that I have ever owned!

I was at one of our local VZW stores, and the rep who was helping me told me that there was a fix coming for some of these irritating problems folks have been having. He did not say when it will be here, just that it was coming.

New Update appeared on my phone yesterday and it added the V Cast Apps and Slacker Personal Radio. There may be other things as well, but that is the only thing that I see at the moment. V Cast Apps does not work when launched it results in an Error: Unable to complete request. So I do not know what it was suppose to do.
It would have been nice if they also worked on the problem with the V Cast not working on Windows 7 64 bit machines, but I guess they rather spend time given us useless apps they we don't need to eat up more battery life. Slacker Radio apparently comes into flavors - free and premium. It also plays without earphones if you like listen to radio through 'tinny' speakers.

Got the update last night. Pretty much every app I had installed that did not come default with the phone (or update) now tries to force close. I had the Dolphin HD Browser installed, and now it runs the installer whenever I try to use it, then crashes.
Anyone else have problems with crashing apps since the update? Wish I had never said yes...

Why are we forced to take apps we don't want and will never use?? Two "upgrades" ago Skype was forced on me and it continually loads itself and wastes my battery! I can kill it and it will start right back up.....NO THANKS VERZION! What new crap is this "NEW" upgrade going to force on me?? And why can't I choose not to "upgrade"?
