When will the font/text size issue be addressed? cross posted from the Moto threads

I've seen some threads but not too much discussion so I'm starting anew.

Does Motorola/Verizon/Google care about the millions of us over the age of 25?  I'm beginning to think not because not having the ability to increase my standard device font size is nuts.  It's something I would expect in the closed system of Apple but not from Google.

Yes, my screen may look like crap if the font gets bigger but at least I'll be able to read and not have to return it before 30 days are up.  Just as Bluetooth voice dial is a deal breaker for some, getting headaches from squinting at the screen is a deal breaker for me.

I have my browser font enlarged and using Open Home I installed a bolder font that makes the icons a little more readable.  But email, texting and many other places are virtually unreadable.  The Navigation is great but in my car window mount I could not read one line of text or what it was asking.

There is so much I love about the Droid but it looks like my Treo 700p will not enjoy retirement quite yet.:smileymad:

I believe the App "Spare Parts" has an option that allows you to change the font size in it.

I am also in need of bigger font sizes.  Windows Mobile has this same problem.  It seems kind of rediculous that this would not be a standard feature.  Not everyone has perfect eyesight.

I did download spare parts as suggested and it does have an option to adjust the font size but it only seems to effect the spart parts app itself.  Maybe it just isn't compatable with Andraoid 2.0 yet.

Please don't make me have to go back to Blackberry :smileysad:

I agree.  Verizon/Google has to fix this in their software update!!  It is very difficult to read email and that is why I'm contemplating going back to my blackberry  which allows you to select both the font and font size.    Google, fix this or you will lose business customers.
