Is there an easy way to sync droid X with Outlook 2010?
I have gmail working seamlessly with the Droid X now (e-mail, contacts and calendar). I have downloaded google calendar sync to sync the calendar between google and Outlook. However, I cannot seem to get my contacts to sync with Outlook.
I saw several apps that seem reasonable enough, but they assume/require that I have my own domain and not a third party domain.
It just seems that I should be able to sync Outlook with either the Droid X or with gmail. Since I have gmail and Droid working nicely, just getting Outlook to work with one of them sould keep all three in sync.

Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit Outlook? Google Calendar Sync is not compatible with 64-bit Windows or 64-bit Outlook 2010.
I use MyPhoneExplorer to sync my Outlook calendar and contacts with the Droid X.

I'm not sure. How can I check to see which Outlike I am using. It was setup by my former employer.

For Outlook:
File -> Help
Look at "About Microsoft Outlook" section and it will tell you whether it's 32-bit or 64-bit.
If you're running Windows 7, you can right click on Computer, select Properties. Look under System and it'll show System type as either 32-bit or 64-bit.

Okay so Outlook is 32 bit and I am running Windows XP - there doesn't seem to be bit information for Windows XP. If you can't tell already, I am not fully computer literate.
Thanks for your help!

Google mail comes with a SYNC option for OUTLOOK ... it works quite well. You'll basically just download the SYNC software to your PC, configure it (simple to do) to SYNC on some schedule you set it for.
