Is there some way I can have an individual shortcut for each of my e-mail accounts? I have three Yahoo e-mail accounts, and would like to access them separately, and not through the "universal" box. (If it's useful, I am coming from a Blackberry Storm 2 to my new Droid 2) Thanks!

You can try either of these options.
Touch Menu > Add > Shortcuts > Mail Inbox > Select the email account.
Quick launch shortcuts
You can add shortcuts directly to the home screen by
touching and holding an empty spot on the home
screen, touching
Shortcuts, and selecting a shortcut.

I have the same problem.
When I added my corporate sync account it did not create an email or gmail app in the app list. The add shortcut solution mentioned above (and thanks for trying) does not work because there's no email account to select in the app list. There's also no Shortcuts "Mail Inbox" listed.
