Regarding NFL Mobile

Okay so there has been a big fuss about the update for the NFL Mobile application.

As I understand the application itself will be free but any of the video content deemed "Premium Features" will require a $10 payment per month?

So a certain cases pop up in mind:  

Case 1).    3G Device with unlimited data.

Update NFL Mobile and pay $10 to first update the application and then get access to the Premium content for that month.

To continue watching Premium content $10 per month is charge.

Case 2). 4G Device with unlimited data

Update NFL Mobile for free but pay $10 per month to get access to Premium content?

However, if you are just using the application it is free?

Case 3). 4G Device but with no 4G connection

Update NFL Mobile and pay $10 to get it updated and get access to Premium content for that month.

I know for case #3 that I could not update NFL mobile when I was on my wifi network for free even though I have a 4G Droid Bionic.  I had to turn off wifi and get logged onto the 4G network before I could update for free.

I thought NFL Mobile was supposed to be free  including the premium content for the current NFL season when you bought a new 4G Phone like the Droid Bionic.

So very disappointed and frustrated...

I thought all 4g phones were free for premium service nomatter if ur in 4g. My dad has an x and gets premium without paying for now

i called verizon and they told me if  you have the 4g lte phone that its still free for the 2011 season

I've been checking on my phone and only the update for the app was free. Premium stuff isn't...

I have the Samsung Droid Charge and had the same issue with the NFL Mobile.  I called Customer Service last night and they said ALL the content is free for 4G phones such as the Charge and Bionic.  He said just pick the option to subscribe for the monthly fee and go forward but you will not be charged as the system will notice your phone and plan.  I did that and it went right through and no payment was requested (unless something like this just shows up on your bill).   If they do try to charge me I will have a record of the call where the rep told me it is free for 4G phones.

Case 1 u don't get charged 10 when u update NFL mobile then 10 monthly. If u ever get charged it is prorated. U are paying for Verizon video and u get the premium nfl. Ur not going to be charged unless u use Verizon video or vcast video.

Case 2 not for 2011 season. It's free.

Case 3 still free even if ur in 3g. U have to vz network. Only on new phones u update because its preinstalled. I did that yesterday w/ bionic too.

What I ment was if u can use premium stuff but when u go to Verizon video it needs to have permission before u can use it that means ur not going to be charged least on 3g phones. My dad has an x and he can do premium without problem. Not charged yet.

Apparently, this was only a promo and expired October 1st. The only way to get free access for the whole 2011  season was by buying a 4G phone through Verizon during the time the promo was being ran. Not sure how many people understood the advertisement, I certainly didnt. Pretty disappointing to be honest, but whatever.

I bought a thunderbolt in April and the promo didn't exist then but I'm getting all features ur complaining about.
