Random selecting and sliding on the home screen

I've had my INCREDIBLE for about two weeks now and I got the 2.2 update a week ago but now my phone randomly slides through my screens and when i'm texting it selects the sent button and i look and see that it stopped typing half way through my message. It also selects random text, contacts, basically whenever and where ever I am on the phone it just starts selecting things. Has anyone had this problem and what should I do about it? Take the phone to Verizon?

not exactly the same problem, but since the update I have noticed that if I am in an app, and I click on the home button, then when it exits the app it wont take me to the home screen, but rather to one of the other screens where I have widgets.

Clean your trackpad with a qtip or blow on it real good. Sounds like you have dirt or something in it making the sensor go crazy hence selecting wrong things.

Have the same issue as well, including in e-mail, jumps all over even without touching it.  Also, have noticed that the battery does not lat as long and takes longer to charge, my weatherbug app takes for ever to start up, if at all, and does not display all the info it used on the widget.  Seems to be slower on web as well.  Have had this phone for 1 1/2 months with no issues, great phone but this update is giving me blackberry storm flashbacks.

Does anyone know how to go back to the old 2.1 version?

Weatherbug is a huge resource hog. I always tell my friends that, they remove, and later say its faster and battery lasts longer. Your choice.

Same story. Owned two weeks, update a week ago.
Just yesterday I had the same issue. I was composing a text message and the cursor kept moving to the send button. And on the home screen the display would move to another screen on it's own. At first I thought I was accidentally touching the track pad but I made sure that wasn't the case.
Never rebooted or did anything and it stopped doing this on its own. Hasn't done it since. I think it's a case of the trackpad or trackpad driver going wonky. Hopefully it's an anomaly. Only happened a few times yesterday and hasn't happened since.
Just wanted you to know it happened to someone else.

Try doing a battery pull. The battery pull should reset your device. All you have to do is take the

battery out while the phone still powered on.

Same thing happened with my screen only a week after the 2.2 upgrade. It was as if my phone was possessed. Battery pull and problem fixed.
