I 've downloaded PurpleVRS to my new Driod Bionic and it worked okay. I've tried to call VP (video phone for the deaf) to my friend. It's worked.
Purple VRS is relay service for the deaf.
Then next couple days, one of my hearing kids told to downloaded Tango Video app and it worked okay
So I can talk to my hearing kids using the Tango Video. BUT the problem is that I noticed when I tried Purple VRS calls, I can see vrs person but she or he can't see me at all. I noticed that my face camera is not shown on the Droid Bionic.
I decided to remove the Tango Video app and tried again with PurpleVRS... still same problem.
Is an option to tell Droid Bionic to settle the face video camera to turn on whenever using the Purple VRS or Tango Video?.
Thank You,
Jack

This sounds like a limited support issues, it appears that a number of Video Chat apps has been having issue accessing the front face camera on the Bionic, you may want to contact the developers for the apps and have their developers investigate the issue.

I would try uninstalling the Purple VRS app, then reinstall it.
if that doesn't work, then the only other thing to do is do what Wildman suggested... contact the developer.

Good morning, Folks,
I did contacted PurpleVRS Support. Steve at PurpleVRS is investigating. He points out that Droid Bionic is new model have not yet its app fit to this model. He will contact me later.
I did removed the app and re-installed and tried 3 times and still same problem.
I called other party and he said that there is warming msg to him stated "Remote Party in Video OFF mode".
Is there an options "Video mode" in this Bionic device?
Thank You,
Jack

Yes just press the camcorder icon on the app tray or open camera and press the icon on screen that looks like a video camera..

I got in Camcorder app.
I hit the camera switch button.. The blue message appeared "Cannot capture a video. Internal phone storage and SD are not accessible".
I am wondering ... Was that caused my Video Phone (VP) calling the problem?
If yes, how do I correct or fix this?
Thank You,
Jack

"For this msg shown: "Cannot capture a video. Internal phone storage and SD are not accessible".
was that the 16 GB memory card was not plugged in completed. After plaugged in completely, The msg is gone.
Purple VRS with no my face camera shown while VRS is still existing....
I am hoping the software company, Mirial, be able to modify the Purple VRS's software in order to work with
new cellphone, Droid Bionic.
Purple VRS support person will let me know if they will or not. If not, then I have to try SorensonVRS or Z-VRS.

Purple VRS Support said that his manager forward my problem to Mirial and wait to hear from them.
I guess to wait.. I have already submit therequesteds to SorensonVRS to see if their work in my new phone.
