I Need Some Clarification About Activating Droid From Ebay

I've been using a feature phone up until now, and i'm going to be upgrading to a Droid Bionic pretty soon.

I'm buying the droid used off of eBay, and the seller says there's no sim card included, but the ESN is clean.

I'd like to know weather or not i can simply walk into a Verizon store with my new Droid Bionic,

ask them to deactivate my old Feature phone, and have them activate my Droid with a 3G data plan? (not interested in 4G right now)

Like i said, i'm new to the whole smartphone thing, so please forgive me!

The Droid Bionic is a 4G LTE phone and will get a 4G smartphone data plan.

I know if you upgrade you can keep the unlimited data, I dont know what would happen if you try to bring your own device..

There is no difference between 3g and 4g when it comes to data packages. Data is data no matter how fast it is transmitted. Try to check the esn before you purchase to make sure it is clean, and I would recommend calling customer service over going to a store.

There is a difference between 4G and 3G data plans.

When I upgraded my Droid 3G to a Droid Bionic 4G they forced me to change my $29.99 unlimited 3G plan to a $30.00 2GB 4G plan.

Luckily, I called and complained and they "grandfathered" me in so I got unlimited 4G for the same $29.99 I was paying for 3G.

Now, my only problem is, and it seems to be with all Verizon 4G phones, is no data connectivity at all.

So, I pay $29.99 a month for unlimited access to no data signal 🙂
