How much longer battery life are you suppose to get with the extended battery? I bought one the other day. i charged it to 100% and within 10 mins of taking off the charge(and not using it, no apps running) it dropped to 90%. Then every hour after that, it dropped 10% every hour. And i hardly use it. This cant be right. My regular battery lasted way longer than that. does anyone think its a bad battery?

Yes! It certainly appears that you do have a bad battery. However, if you exchange it for a new extended battery, and the same thing happens, then I would look at the Droid.

I don't know if you will see this but what really helped me in the battery department, was a tip I got from a Verizon retailer's a FREE application you download off the Market called Advanced Task Killer Free. It would appear that even after backing out of our applications, some are still left running, burning up our beloved battery juice. I have doubled the life of my battery by using this app and making sure I darken the screen ASAP. The display is the #1 user of battery power, then the applications.......Hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!:

If you have a particularly bad behaving app, killing it may help, but that's the fault of the app.

To add to Jasnmar's suggestion. Task killers are always on and eating up the battery. Plus a lot of apps restart themselves after they are turned off.
