I have 2 droid 2's on my account that do the same thing. I've gotten replacements for both of them that do the same thing. If you call Customer Service you will be told a whole list of stuff: you downloaded bad apps, you need/don't need a task killer, do a soft reset, do a hard reset, etc. I've done about 5 hard resets, you lose everything, and it still doesn't fix the issue.  I have tired all of it and it still does it. They may even tell you they haven't heard this issue before.  Search these forums and motorola's forums and you will see this is an issue for a lot people , but not everyone.

I personally think a software update will fix it. I got my orginal Droid 2 back in December and have not seen an update yet though, so I don't know if they will fix it. I've never seen a smartphone go six months without any kind of update.

Verizon is usually very helpful, but I'm not sure if they can fix this one.
