Disappointing???   For Who???

A few phone gamers????  250mb is not all that shabby for phone applications....  It will only Run  / Multi task (6) apps at the same time anyways....  Hmmmm that's (6) Times.Say 4mb per application (being generous here) .. 24mb....  Leaves a ton of room to have other applications installed and on standby.................

Its NOT an Note/Net Book, It's a Phone....

Today is not your day.
Tomorrow doesn't look good either.

This. While I agree that the onboard memory needs to be upgraded, I'm not too sure that I could fill up my phone with enough apps to take that internal space.

What sucks is that because the internal memory is limiting, it restricts developers from creating large apps/games. What's good about it is that you know its very difficult to take up that space.

Well also the phone only has 256 mb of ram so a huge game using a lot of system resources could also be taking up a lot of running memory.  Some programs will use more Ram than the size of their program becuase of accessing media and things like that also that 256mb or ram has to run the os and graphics as well.  So 256mb of free rom space isn't nearly as concerning to me as the 256mb of ram though it seems to be enough for some background processes and 6 programs usually.

256 mb limit, sure its a small drawback, but "very disappointing", I don't think so. Not a huge deal. Every phone has something that we dont like (Iphone doesnt do multiple apps, Blackberry doesnt load apps to memory card, WinMo - always needing to use the task manager to end stuff, etc)

It is still an excellent device.

Agreed. Every phone has it's knacks, even the best of them. There is no such thing as the perfect phone and there is no reason to bash on any of them for not meeting over-achieving standards. :smileyhappy:
