How do you enter letters in dial screen
Not sure what you mean there. If a commercial says call 1-800-buy-that you just dial the corresponding number that the letter is under.
If, on the other hand you like the feature of being able to search your contacts from the dialer, as you can in the Droid Eris, get the app "SuperDial" from the market (free) and try that as your alternative dialer. It is what I use as my primary dialer.
