Renewing contract and upgrading equipment

Just found out about this board after 2yrs with Verizon mobile broadband.
I'm out of contract, and would like to upgrade to one of those netbooks. When I renew my contract for 2years, will I be able to keep my "unlimited" bandwidth and get the netbook? Or Verzion will force me to get the 5G/month contract?
I'm happy with the UM150, however, I'm just tired of having to carry it around.
Thanks.

No, you will not be able to keep your Grandfathered "Unlimited" data plan when upgrading equipment. I suggest you buying a Netbook online (Ebay/Craig's List) and then do a simple ESN / MEID change in order to keep your current plan.

Thank you, Jagger.
If I do not renew my contract, I still can keep my "Unlimited" plan like what I have now
