I get this message "Connection failed - access was denied because username and/or password was invalid on the domain.. Error 691"  If I try to connect twice I can get on line but am usually disconnected from mobil broadband after a minute or two.  I am using UM150, on Windows XP, Compaq Presario V2000 laptop.  Sometimes I can keep it connected if I am downloading something.

I have been getting the same error message sporadically for the last year. Each time, Verizon support has helped me solve the problem, but I called them today and they told me they believe my UM150 is broken and of course "out of warranty". I'm not sure I agree because all of the lights are working properly and my computer states the device is working properly. Error 691 is a username and password error. Does anyone know how to check and/or change the username and password?

If you are getting the user name and password issues.  Go into your network and find teh dial up network connections. They will be called national access or Verizon something. Delete all of them. Reboot your computer. Go into the vzam and run detect device in the newer versions   or in the older click on options and run wizard. Then try and connect. If this does not work call customer care 800-922-0204. Ask for tech support. Tell them you deleted and resetup dun. Have them check your connection for a possible DMU reset.
