Samsung A70 A80

I understand some phones can be actived regardless of approved/certified Verizon network device list. As an example the Samsung A50 never made Verizon's approved device list. It entered Verizion's marked as a featured device. My question is aimed at other devices in the A series above the A50 not below. The Samsung A70 and the A80 are these devices compatible with Verizion?

This article above explains some of what i mentioned in this post and another post regarding the A70 only.  Verizon/Samsung U.S. entered the market with the A50 that went directly past the (see if it's compatible with network red tape) striaght to the sales. My device compatability question is not only due to price but device capability. The A70 is a larger phone, it is the only Samsung phone that has the exact fast charge as the S10/5G, It has a large battery, and a decent camera, in the same price range as the A50. I left the specs in the post. It seem as if you must buy devices from Verizion or only devices Verizion says it's ok to have on the network. There are a number of midrange phones that are below Verizion's flagship phone/prices that are as good as flagships without the price. For large families these outraguos flagship prices are not consumer friendly. Wealthy or not. Looks like i'll either have to settle for the A50 or buy the Note 9.

The A70 is the phone your customers want. The A50 is too close to a cheap track phone compared to the A70. The specs on the A70 smash the A59. Step up Verizon and deal with Samsung and give the prepaid customers something worth buying. If not we will keep replacing parts on old phones like I have been doing a lot n my old Moto z play. It still specs way better than anything in the cash price options available today.

I have also used the A705MN as well as the A705W (Canadian Model) they both will work on Verizon. You must have an already active sim card from a Verizon phone. Once you have that you can simply put your activated sim card in the A70 and it will work.

Verizon WILL NOT activate this phoen directly for you and will offer you NO support for it.

It is a great phone btw.

Now that is useful information.

There's leaks that the A70 is finally coming to Verizon! Hope that comes true. Source: https://www.sammobile.com/news/galaxy-a70-headed-to-the-us-could-first-launch-on-verizon

I wouldn't call that a leak.  It's more like a leap, or wishful thinking.  It's unlikely there will be 2 mid range phones with similar specs.  Verizon already has 2 slightly lower range.  The A70 is too close to the S series, and might put a dent in the flagship sales.   I would be delighted to be wrong, but I would put money on being right.

Is there a Verizon specialist available to respond to the post?

No Verizon specialist has responded to my question here regarding the A series in a prior post. I have not gotten an answer in stores or phone via customer service. Most have no idea there are other A series phones above the A50. Through further inquiries i found the A70 is available in the U.S. market. The A80 has not been U.S. market approved as of yet. I also found Verizon will be marketing lower tier A series devices such as the A20 and A10. I don't want either of these devices. I want to replace a device on my account with the A70. These are the specs for the A70

Galaxy A70 SM-A705M/DS Factory Unlocked Smartphone, Android 9.0 (Pie) / Rear Camera: Main: 32MP, F1.7 Ultra Wide: 8MP, F2.2 (123°) Depth: 5MP, F2.2 ; Front: Selfie: 32MP, F2.0 / Display: 6.7-inch Full HD+ (1080x2400) Super AMOLED Infinity-U Display / Octa Core, (Dual 2.0GHz + Hexa 1.7GHz) ; 4,500mAh (typical) Super Fast Charging / RAM: 6 GB ; ROM: 128 GB ; Up to 512 GB Micro SD ; GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - SIM 1 & SIM 2 (dual-SIM model only) ; HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 ; LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 20(800), 38(2600), 40(2300), 41(2500)

Asking a Verizon specialist that is aware of device compatibility to respond.

Falcon09_, we are always here to help. Making sure you have a device you enjoy is important. You've asked some good questions & we want to make sure to get them answered. The Samsung Galaxy A50 is currently a device that we sell. Please check it out https://www.verizonwireless.com/smartphones/samsung-galaxy-a50/?sku=sku3520131 We do not sell or carry the Samsung A70 or the Samsung A80, but before you purchase these two devices from a 3rd party, please make sure that they are compatible with our network by using this link https://www.verizonwireless.com/onedp/byod#/ If they show they are compatible with our network, please know that we cannot always guarantee that all features will work. What has you looking at these other devices (Samsung A70 and the Samsung A80), rather than ones that we currently sell? AliciaD_VZW

I reviewed " what's in the box " for the Samsung A50. I noticed there is no case or headsets that come in the box with the A50 purchase at Verizon. Why is that? Other consumer markets outside of these borders buy an A50 that comes with a device case and headsets in the box. Is this how Samsung does buisness with Verizion wireless customer's in the U.S.? Please explain?

The Samsung A70 has a 25w charging speed, which is very important and is a NEWER device.  It also has 103 battery operating time, which again is faster than Samsung A50.  It has a 32mp selfie camera!  Who wouldn't desire that, right?  It uses Adreno which is much better for gaming, not Mali.  It's 6.7 inches would be even better, terrific even for those that love to expand their font sizes for better viewing.

The release dates are only 1 month a part.  The A series program is something Samsung has come out with for a mid-range phone mkt for those of us unable or unwilling to invest in an $800+ cell phone.  The A70 and A80 are both being used and released in the UK.  The reviews are amazing! I encourage you to search the Samsung website it is very informative about this line.

Please check this out, what is coming, I would love to have access to these phones: https://news.samsung.com/global/editorial-welcome-galaxy-a-samsungs-new-series-of-smartphones-to-fit...

There is no LTE band 13 or band 4 and no way to tell if it is capable of VoLTE or not. The A70 isn't compatible with the Verizon Wireless network. The link to the A80 doesn't list the LTE frequencies to know if it is compatible or not. If it has the same LTE frequencies as the A70 version then it is likely to not be compatible.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
