Can we get someone from Verizon to answer the question of support. The specs for the phone show a lot of network support including LTE & W-CDMA. I don't have the IEMI for a phone not purchased yet.

From Asus website for the ROG Phone 2:
GSM/GPRS/EDGE; WCDMA/HSPA+/DC-HSPA+; FDD-LTE; TD-LTE

Data rate
LTE Cat18 UL up to 211Mbps / Cat20 DL up to 2Gbps

DC-HSPA+: UL 5.76Mbps / DL 42Mbps
LTE 6CA UL up to 211Mbps / DL up to 2Gbps
4x4 MIMO and CA w/ 4x4 MIMO support

FDD-LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 26, 28, 29, 32, 66)
TD-LTE (Bands 34, 38, 39, 40, 41, 46)
WCDMA (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 19)
EDGE/GPRS/GSM (850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz)

It's not on the list, and the only official answer you will get is "check the IMEI" or "check the list" and the ROG 2 isn't there.

ALIKAI09, we are here to help, and we know that its crucial for you to know what to expect when it comes to activating your phone on our network. To check if a device is compatible with Verizon, you can visit the link below. This will let you know if it can be activated and will work on the Verizon network. How does that sound?  http://spr.ly/66011JjUc

Yup.  There's your canned reply.
6,000 mhlp battery 😱.  240 grams.
It should work, but if Verizon chooses to exclude it, you buy at your own risk.

Or just switch to AT&T.  They support it.

There seems to be an answer.    make it CDMA-less device for data only, then use Google Voice for calls and texting

Actually it brings up an interesting topic, if a phone is not VoLTE capable, will carriers allow them on tablet lines?

Non-VoLTE devices are unable to be activated on any type of lines, as they are not compatible with the network.
