i just got my phone yesterday. i'm trying to open my camera, but it's saying that i need to close other applications first. i closed everything that i thought was open, but i'm still getting the same message. i turned off the phone and turned it back on, but still get the message. any ideas?

Since you said you got it yesterday I'm guessing its a brand new phone. Try backup your phone and wipe it. If it still doesn't fix it then its defective.

To close apps that are open you should be using BB Menu button, then switch Applications then push anything that is open besides Phone,BB Messenger,Home, Internet Globe and email folder, anything else you need to push and then use BB Menu button. Once pushed and look for a close or exit listing and push that. Do this until all you have left open is the items I mentioned, then pull battery and re boot phone and then try Camera.
