Great live webcast for Passport launch. VZW doesn't have them listed yet.
Hopefully very soon.

Word on the street is that AT&T will be the sole provider of the Passport.

Sad day for us. No one's fault except for Verizon's. I wasn't expecting to see it on shelves but they could have easily offer via online order. Just called today to see what the cancellation fees are for both my lines. They have until the day AT&T starts selling it to make some kind of announcement about support for it other wise I'm gone.

Sole provider for how long? Certainly they won't have a "forever" exclusive. Ignoring Verizon would be stupid of BlackBerry and I doubt AT&T could make it worth BlackBerry's while to cut everyone else in the U.S. out of the market.

I still expect to see a Verizon Passport. If it follows the same pattern as the Z30 then we should see it in mid to late November. The Z30 launched globally and then came to Verizon about 1 1/2 months later.

I would be ok with waiting. But I'm not going to be waiting for possibly nothing. I need some kind of announcement for eventual support.

Left Sprint for the Z10 and sounds like everyone I know will be leaving Verizon. It is a real shame that Verizon is NOT offering the phones we want. We pay real good money for the network and to have the phone availability. If both are not there soon there will be another 16 customers lost that I know of.

I think we may be jumping the gun here. So many are upset that Verizon isn't carrying a specific phone. In this case the Passport. I honestly believe that the AT&T exclusive will be short lived. Also believe that Verizon will carry the Passport, eventually the Classic, and down the road, any all touch phones available from BlackBerry.
Patience my friends. We will be rewarded.

Lots of fanboys have their panties in a bunch over the Passport still being M.I.A. from Verizon. I'm even hearing that AT&T will get Passport and Classic will be a Verizon exclusive. I hope that's not the case, but we've seen exactly that before. AT&T got the Torch 9800/9810 (sliding keyboard) and later Verizon got an all-touch model also called the Torch.
What I'm hoping is that the Passport launch on Verizon will follow the script written by the Z30, a much more recent model. The Z30 launched globally on GSM carriers, only coming to Verizon about a month and a half later. If this is the way it goes with the Passport there is plenty of time to see it hit the FCC for approval and launch in mid- to late-November.
