Who do we need to be talking to have Verizon carry the Blackberry Passport?

It doesn't seem to be coming to Verizon Wireless.

Like Jay.M. said, it doesn't look like we're getting the Passport. Chen said it was an AT&T exclusive in the U.S. but he didn't say if that was forever. On the off chance that the exclusive is only for a period of time, I would suppose 6 months after it's released on AT&T we could see it on Verizon. But that's a big and shaky "IF". Right now it doesn't look like they're planning to make a CDMA version of the Passport at all. Nothing has going to the FCC in CDMA, and anyway it hasn't even been released by AT&T. Looks like we Verizon users will get the BlackBerry Classic instead of Passport.

To be honest, I was about to leave Verizon wireless because they're not carrying Blackberry passports -anytime soon if ever-, and as 47seijar stated, a CDMA version still appears to be the pending million dollar question -months after passports release! I'm the kind of guy looking for a NEW phone while not having to wait "several" months to get it AFTER its been released. After meticulous review of the NOTE 4, I decided to go with that instead of the passport. The Note 4 is simply the best phone I've had yet, and I haven't regretted it my decision. Good luck.

Thank you for the recommendation. Years ago, I switched from a AT&T Palm Treo to an AT&T iPhone (first gen), then to a Verizon Blackberry Bold then to Verizon Android, then back to Verizon Blackberry 10. Say what you will... but my blackberry get it's it done! Looks like things do go full circle and I may end up back at AT&T and pick up a Passport. I think their service may have finally improved because it was horrible in 2004!

All of Verizon's 4G phones require a SIM card. Any Verizon store should be able to set you up with one in about 5 minutes.

If the Passport doesn't have CDMA radios in them you won't be able to call or text. It does appear to support both band 4 and 13 for data.

47seijar, you're absolutely correct! Our corporate store locations can provide you with a sim card for your 4G device. Click http://vz.to/1h3etAK for the closest store location.
