Storm signal strength

I got the storm in early march for work purposes and I find that I some times have trouble hold a call without it breaking up or dropping altogether.  I have held my phone next to other verizon phones and while I have one bar or none they have 2 or 3.  Some of these phones were storms as well.  Why is my signal strength so low? It has really interfered with work. Any suggestions?

I have had the storm for several months now and have had incredible signal.  I would definitely say to first do the *228 and select option 2 as your first bet.  The second is to just wait for the new OS for the storm to come out from verizon (or go to crackberry.com and get a newer leaked operating system from another carrier)  That will most likely improve your signal as well.  But the storm does not usually have inherently bad signal so don't give up on it.
