LED Light Stays On

After my screen turns off the LED light comes on and stays on Red. I don't have any new messages or anything though. Whys is it doing this and how do I make it stop?

Check under Options--->Screen/Keyboard------>and LED Coverage Indicator.  If it is ON, click and select Off.  Press the menu key and Save this setting.  That may be the problem.  I would also try a quickpull of the battery to reset your device's memory.   Hope this helps...

Neither worked. The option was already set to off. So I even tried turning it on saving going back out then back in an setting it to off again. That makes it blink the green color anyway. This is the red and it just stays on. It even does it when I turn the phone off.

I also tried taking the battery out again that didn't work. . . this is the second replacement phone I have had to get and I just got it yesterday. . . i guess i'll be making another trip to Verizon after work...I hope i'm not waiting in line for another hour like yesterday.

I have this same issue with my Tour, sometimes I get the red LED light flashing even though I got nothing but eventually it goes away.  I guess its a software issue.

Might have to do with in your profiles its set up to blink when there is no service or a change of service. Meaning if your signal drops low it would flash.

Do you have any flashlight or LED applications on your phone?  I downloaded a flashlight application that went ary on my phone and kept my red LED light constantly.  I simply unloaded what was a crappy application anyway and my problem dissappeared. 

 

On a side now, if I need to use my Storm as a flashlight I just open the Video Camera app and have the LED set to automatically come when I start it and it works fine.  Those that use the Storm know the LED flash is blinding so it works perfectly in this capacity.  Hope this helps.

Do you have Twitterberry installed on your bb? This caused my led to blink red all the time. I had to delete it. This might be the cause.

There is an app you can install called LEDReset that you can get from a blackberry site. Google it and download it and it will take care of your problem.
