have the ability to set Google as the default search provider on my Bold 9650?
Especially since Bing is now stealing results...

Well there are a couple options
You can make Google your home page by going to browser and pressing the menu key...change from start up page to Home Page and type in the google address(or go to google and select use current from the same menu) You would have to go home everytime you search but it would be google.
There are a couple other search engine selections on that same menu but not google unfortunately
I've been hearing alot about 3rd party browsers such as Opera Mini. Heard Pros and Cons so still invesatigating these. I'm not sure they offer that option at this point.
I downloaded google's mobile app for Blackberry and instead of clicking on the browser icon, I click on the google icon. Go to m.google.com or read about it on http://www.google.com/mobile/blackberry/
