Blocking Private & Unknown Calls

I have someone that keeps calling my phone private, instead of changing my phone # i jus wanna block those calls, I searched the forums for a solution but the Do Not Disturb App is not for Blackberry Devices. I need something for my Blackberry to block these annoying phone calls!

Call customer care have them add a free feature to your account called call block. They can block up to 5 numbers for you free of charge. Or you can use a service called usage controls. though the website.  (fee for that one)

Unfortunately, the above resolution only works if you have the number handy... since you're receiving blocked calls inbound, you won't be able to block them since you need the number to have the block service they offer work for your device. :smileysad: I have yet to see a wireless service that blocks restricted/blocked/unknown numbers at this time. Maybe someday, one can hope...

I would suggest browsing around the Crackberry.com store and searching through their blogs. I know at one point they did post about a Blackberry application that filters out unknown/blocked/private callers. You should take a gander, a little bit of your time now browsing around could save you a lot of headaches down the road.

I emailed Verizon about blocking "private calls." They said they support that feature, but I'll check out crackberry forums if there is a app. about blocking "private calls." thanks.

Okay, I've found what everyone may be looking for. There's a Blackberry application called Black and White List. It's provides a HUGE number of options for managing your calls. It also allows you to selectively block unknown or private #s. There's a few downsides to using the application, most of all the cost..$18 for the registered version. But there is a 15 day trial to test it out!!
