My BB Pearl 8130 has been acting ups since a month after getting it BOught Feb '08), now the latest is that it is not taking a wall charge.
Tech support says no more Pearls 8130 (yea - pink) and was going to offer upgrade to curve, - need phone ASAP for work so said I could go to full service store to get Curve. Will there be a charge and why not see if tech can fix the phone. WOuld a new contract required - don't want a new contract.

Will I be able to get info of the Pearl?
Just recently found out was supposed to sync it with my home computer and could BB desk manager to recognize the devise.
Lap top is Vista.
Did see another link where person mentioned just this week same Pearl problem and was told my service dept that happens to some phones (charging issue) and gave her another 8130 pearl....

Went to corporate location and the Customer Service rep advise the connection port defective, wouldn't be able to sync to new phone. Pick up the replacement phone, a BB Curve Wed afternoon. Have no bars left on the Pearl, don't know what to do to get personal address book - argh!
When we got our initial Pearls in Feb "08 never advised to use Blackberry Desk Manger til just two weeks ago. Could not get Vista to recognize the Pearls (hubby has one as well). WIll take laptop with me tomorrow for assistance with hubbys.
