I think SMRyan and Windos53 gave you the best advice. Usually when I have a new phone I spend much of the day playing with it and downloading things for hours, so I can ususally run it down in a day especially on the frist day. However, if as you say you fully charged it and only made two short calls and that alone drained that battery then take that back immediately. Don't let them give you a refurbished one either as you are entitled to a new one within 30 days.
Now here is what I really want to say . . . as a prior Storm owner . . . I can tell you that THIS should tell you something. I'll say no more.
