My husband got a new phone today, he had to pay full price because he thinks my son and I used his upgrade. How can I prove to him he didn't have one?

Log in to your MyVerizon account as the account owner. Look at the phones, and view the details for each one. It will tell you when the contract ends and when each line is eligible to upgrade.
If he paid full price for his phone today, then he did NOT extend his contract, and it will show an upgrade eligibility at some future date, whenever it was before he purchased the full price phone.
Without the details of your account, it's hard to say what happened. Perhaps reviewing the account with a rep in the store will help?
