LG extravert 2 gives "memory low" message

so i've had an LG extravert 2 for a few months and it just started giving me a message whenever i recieve a text that says "memory low delete unwanted content or messages" and it doesn't let me see the text. I deleted all my messages, calls, and pictures and i still cant recieve texts. So i took it to my local verizon store and they said they didn't know what to do about it, and soon after i realized that all my contacts were gone. I tried taking my battery out, even completely resetting the phone and the same "memory low" message appears whenever someone texts me. is the anything to do about this?

I've been having the same problems with the Extravert 2.  I just ran across what appears to be a software update dated 8/20/2014, here:

Having the same problems on 2 phones....there was supposed to have been a fix in July....didn't happen.  What is up guys?!

I have done all the 'take the battery out for 30 sec, power off, plug up to check for updates'.  Nothing is working.  I just got these in May.  Do they need to be returned?

Just an idea, but maybe hunt around and see if there is any trash that needs to be cleared out. I discovered that when I delete email it goes into a 'trash' folder, but it's still on my phone. When I first found the 'trash' folder it took me a LONG time to delete a LOT of OLD emails. Maybe there is something similar on your basic phone.
