Why does my phone get so hot?

My wife's iphone 5C gets extremely hot almost every day now. We have updated operating system as a fix, but it has not kept it from getting extremely hot.

Hearing how hot the phone is getting is very alarming and we are extremely worried. Please take the phone into a corporate Verizon Wireless store http://bit.ly/3SdsA for a hands on evaluation as soon as you can.

I would suggest going to an Apple Store if you have one in your area.
