Is anyone else having trouble messaging one or more people from their contacts?

My husband and I both have an iPhone 6. Until last week we had no problem, and texted one another frequently. Suddenly, although he receives all of my texts, none of his are delivered to me. Also, he doesn't get a message saying it wasn't delivered. He can phone me using my contact. If I text him, and he hits reply, it still does not deliver. This is a huge inconvenience. Any help?

It's imperative that you and your family stay in close contact, gmow181! May I ask if you've deleted the current thread between contacts? Does each contact have iMessage on?
