I recently had to change the password on my email account and even though I've changed it on my IPhone 6 it still says that the password is incorrect. I've tried deleting and re-adding verizon mail and nothing works. Any suggestions?

Being able to use your email on your phone is definitely important so I understand your concern. Did this issue start right after changing the email password? Are you able to receive email on your Verizon email? What happens when you try sending an email?
