Yeah, thats gotta be irritating. ...you may want to try to run it in safe mode.
Samsung Galaxy S4: Turn Safe Mode On or Off
This will disable any add on apps. If it runs in a stable fashion in safe mode, you know that it is just the way one of your apps is interacting with the updated software. If that doesn't solve things, I would backup and do a factory data reset.

Well sometimes with updates you can get by with no issue or there can be issues and when there is you need to try and iron it out by way of 1. clearing the system cache which can help stable up the phone or you may have to Factory Reset.. which you will have to back up your contacts, back up n save your pictures or your music then pull then proceed with the Reset.. but first try running the system cache clear..
