Ok, My Razer screen broke, I have insurance, paid the 100 bucks, received the phone which is the wrong color, but ok. The phone does NOT work. Call asurion they tell me to take it to my Verizon dealer and they will trouble shoot. Drive to the office and the nice (not) gentlemen tells me their system is down and they don't know why I would be sent to their office. They don't take care of is. Isn't this your phone? Isn't this were I bought this phone? So now my mother who lives in Calif. is currently undergoing open heart surgery and I have no phone!!! And its no ones issue!! The phone is 1 year old. I have been a customer for 20 years and I cant get a phone!?? Someone better help me with this issue!! Im not asking for anything free, just give me the phone that I paid for!!!! Going to drive to another location and hope their system isn't down and someone will help me. Customer service in this company does not exists.I will be looking for another company after my contract is up.

If the phone is over 1 year old then you go through the insurance company not Verizon. The insurance companies reserves the right to send you a refurbished phone. It's in the insurance contract you signed. If you buy a car and you get into a fender bender and your insurance company doesn't pay the claim you don't take the car to a dealer and say "give me a new car because I bought it here.

First off I hope your Mother in CA is doing well from her surgery. Sorry to hear about all the issues at one time. When it rains it pours sometimes.
http://support.verizonwireless.com/information/device_replacement_program.html Since you are still under contract, you agreed to these terms when you signed the contract. When/if you go to a new carrier you may want to read the contract you are agreeing to with the new carrier as it will be similar to the one you agreed to when you got a new contract with VZW.

Actually, it doesn't matter how old the phone is, your Verizon warranty does not cover damage or a broken screen. That's why you bought insurance, as you said. This issue is with Asurion. Since you have an insurance policy with them, it is up to them and only them to satisfy your claim per the terms of your insurance policy. Verizon does not repair phones and this had nothing to do with Verizon. Why they sent you to Verizon, I have no idea.
