high wifi/battery use droid maxx2 since marshmallow update

I am experiencing high wifi use/battery DRAIN since the Marshmallow update. I experienced no problems with the phone (Motorola Droid Maxx2) since its purchase (May 2016).

When will the developers* FIX this? 

*Android developers, Verizon, or whomever...if the shoe fits, put it on
