ZTE Axon 7

Hey Verizon people..whoever you are...I need a straight answer to my question ASAP.

My contract ends on 9/1/16 a mere 23 days from now.

I have the new ZTE Axon 7 and I am keeping it! Best phone money can buy at any price! Highly recommend it!

I would rather stay on Verizon for several reasons even though your pre-paid plans cost more! Go figure!

However, I need this phone to work just as good as my current unlocked Moto X Pure does on your network!

When I put the activated SIM in the phone the Axon 7 "works" but it is constantly roaming.

I have talked on the phone, and chatted, and even went into one of your stores, and everyone of your technicians says the same thing, namely, that you Verizon must allow these phones onto your network by adding the IEMI numbers of these phones into your database.

So then, are you going to do this or not?

If you make me wait until the last minute, I will be leaving after many long years as a paying customer.

AT&T and/or Cricket is calling my name!

The ZTE Axon 7 works great with them and they are cheaper by $5.00 or $10.00 per month respectively!

So will someone with some authority please reply to this question with something substantial?

I have asked this same question on the ZTE forum, as well as other forums that are popular, and the response from all is that it's up to you Verizon.

Well????

The imei is irrelevant you just need to insert the sim that is already paired to your num into that axon 7

how ever zte axon 7 does not have the full radio set, and only works on gsm carries, even says on ztes website does not work on cdma networks , and lists verizon, boost , sprint and virgin etc as not compatable, hope this info helps.

ZTE didn't get the FCC certification for ALL the frequencies used by Verizon Wireless.

NO disrespect intended, but who are you? Do you work for Verizon and have inside information? How do you know this to be a fact? Even if it is a fact, what is the solution?

I don't work for VZW. Never have. Never will.

ZTE's own website says it isn't compatible. The FCC documents say it isn't compatible.

Hello jaseman,

The last thing we want is to see a long-time customer leave our family. We do not prevent any 4G device from using our network. However, the manufacturer of any device would need to make sure their product is compatible with our network. If it is not, you may not be able to use some features or they may not function well. We are unable to guarantee any service for a product that was not made with our network in mind.

According to everything I have read on numerous forums it is up to Verizon to add the IMEI numbers of these phones to your database. Time is certainly running out for me. It will be your loss of revenue, not to mention that several thousand of these phones have already been sold here in the US and many want to run on Verizon. But guess what... they are all going to either Cricket, or T-Mobile, or AT&T.

SO what is the delay? What is the problem with this network? You are losing customers every day because of your backwards business policies. I am not sure that I want to remain any longer even if you do get this working as it should. How sad for you!

Well that is sad. ATA&T just confirmed that the phone will work on their network, so I guess this is the end for me and Verizon. Oh well!

The Axon 7 *does* have a full Verizon radio set. It can be used on Verizon as long as you can deal with a few quirks. Verizon doesn't block it, and it works fine, though some users occasionally see issues where LTE connectivity is lost temporarily and the phone reverts to 3G/1X only. A SIM reset (using a GSM SIM) seems to clear this up.

The FCC docs very clearly show full Verizon support...it has LTE B13, B4, and B2, and CDMA BC 0/1/10 with EvDO rev A. It works on 1X, 3G, and LTE just fine in my own experience. But, ZTE hasn't fully enabled CDMA support in the firmware and thus there are minor bugs. So, only fairly advanced users who are comfortable with radio settings and the like should use the Axon 7 on VZW for now. Hopefully ZTE will fix this soon as this is a great phone and the Verizon reception is outstanding.
