Where to buy a Verizon compatible Smartphone (Razor or Samsung Galaxy) ?

I am looking to purchase a REFURBISHED Verizon Smartphone to replace my Droid X which in FLORIDA, shows water damage within 3 months of owning, high humidity was not taken into consideration. my exisiting contract or plan is over 2 years old.

I DO NOT want to lose my UNLIMITED DATA plan but Verizon says it will only sell me phones that by turning them on will HAVE to have a plan.

I say: DON'T TOUCH MY EXISTING PLAN. LET ME TURN ON A  preowned or refurbished phone.

Where can I get these so Verizon will accept them?

Try ebay or Swappa.com. Make sure it is a Verizon phone.

did the purchase in a vzw corp store, had the esn verified prior to paying

then had it activated
