Phone update is offering Visual voice mail subscription . I dont want it even if its free . The problem is I keep getting the notification to sign up or use regular voice mail. When the notification shows up whenever someone sends me a text message. I dont want visual voice mail and Iam asking how do I stop notifications . Its almost like Iam being forced to sign up for something I dont want .Or is this a way for Verizon to get me to use more data

Here I am to save the day pjwerz! What model device do you have? Have you ever used visual voicemail before, like on a previously owned device? If you can share the details then we can provide steps on how to stop the notifications.
Thank you...

I am using a Samsung Galaxy S5 and do not want visual voice mail. I keep hitting decline on the VVM notices and have gone into my account and "signed up" for BASIC VOICEMAIL so that the 30-day trial of premium visual voice mail was removed from my account. What else do I have to do to stop the VVM notices?
