Verizon is terrible!

Been with them for over 10 years now. I have NEVER had a successful call to their tech support.  As always they mess with you. I'll be glad when I can finally leave them and go elsewhere (less than a year left in my contract).

I upgraded from a galaxy s3 to an s5.  What a joke.  Tiny bit bigger, a little more power and a few more features.... oh boy!  Nothing like spending $700 for a minor upgrade.  Anyways, they did a software upgrade a couple of days ago and now my vibrate no longer works.  I called them and they want to ship me a refurbished phone????  No I don't think so.  I spent $700 of my hard earned money for a defective phone (didn't want another contract with these losers so I payed up front).  They should be replacing it with a new phone not a old broken phone that has been fixed.

Goodbye Verizon.  I can't wait to stop paying $150 a month for 3 gig of data and HORRIBLE service.  Nothing but a complete rip off.

Your phone was made defective by a Google & Device maker update, not by Verizon Wireless.

Sprint & T-Mobile will pay via gift card reimbursement your early termination fees from Verizon after you pay Verizon first.

No need to wait if you are really that unhappy.

The standard is from the device makers warranty (which Verizon acts as an agent and not as the warranty company to exchange for like device as refurbished (used) for your now inoperable used phone (Used) to the device maker this is a fair exchange.

All carriers do the same.

Good Luck if you change carriers. I wish you the best.

You're an idiot if you think this.  Yes, google make the update but Verizon approved it.  I purchased this phone through Verizon.  I don't care who I purchased it though I will return it to that place.

So if you buy a stereo from Best Buy and you find it defective, who are you going to return it to?  The manufacturer?  I highly doubt it.  Verizon sold me the phone they should be responsible for that phone and that doesn't mean giving me a refurbished phone.

Actually after a certain period of time you DO in fact go through the manufacturer.

You figured this out after your 14 day return option ran out? BTW no phone company is going to replace a used phone with a new one after the option out period has expired.

Verizon is a retailer as well as a cellular provider. Mr. not know it at all!

After 15 days Best Buy and Walmarts or any retailer does not take the device back, they refer you to the device makers tech support website or 800 number.

Verizon if they sold you the device does the same thing. They are not going to fix your device or keep giving you new devices for broken ones after that first 15 days.

I hate it when people jump in and contribute nothing but wrong information on a thread like you just did.

The warranty in the box clearly tells you how to get warranty service. You don't get it from Best Buy or Walmart or Verizon Wireless. Or where ever you purchased it from. You contact the number in your owners manual.

I suggest you read first your receipt at time of purchase and then the owners manual.

You may then know what you are talking about.

and if you buy a stereo from Best Buy etc. and its defective after 15 days that too goes to the manufacturer of the stereo. Read your owners manuals. It does not get returned back to the store.

If you paid full price for your phone, why are you still in a contract for a year paying $150 a month?

I have 2 phones on the account.  My contract ended a couple of months ago (hense why I didn't renew my contract).  As soon as the other phone is done I can leave this rip off company.

Still doesn't explain why you're paying $150. 2 smartphones with 10 GB with 1 off contract would be $155
