One Netflix movie uses about 2GB or more data. What were you thinking?
Because instead of actually taking the time to figure out how much they actually use they just take the word of some salesperson who may either be deliberately saying things to get a sale or who is just ignorant of how much data things like Netflix use.
Also the salesperson doesn't know how much Netflix you use. So asking "can I watch Netflix with this". Well if you have it set on the lowest setting and only watch a few hours a month then sure. Now if you say " I watch 100 hours of HD Netflix per month. Can I do that with this and incur overage fees?" Well then of course the answer is no. Doesn't mean the salesperson knows this though.
I am still amazed that in 2013 that many people think they can use hours and hours of Netflix and somehow use under 5 GB a month. What is the thought process behind on how much data they think are using?
The funny this is that most new routers have bandwidth meters that will tell you how much you use in a month. So they would know this data before even considering something like mobile data. Which no one with cable or DSL as an option should do. Of course I feel many people would still not now how to covert MB into GB and vise vera

I really like their service and customer service in my case. I don't find any hardships dealing with them as I see in other threads. I don't mind paying 700+ to keep my unlimited data but I just hope they don't do away with unlimited data in the future because I'll definitely go to another carrier because data is the prime now. Who needs unlimited calls and messages when you can download alternative apps to do so. So, if Verizon every do away with unlimited data, I have no problem leaving this company and going to another.

I was going to spend over $400.00 on new phones until I found out about this new $30.00 activation fee. Now I will wait until my contracts expire on my 3 phone and go somewhere else. AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are ALL willing to waive fees to take a Verizon Wireless customer!!!!
This fee is nothing more than a show of corporate GREED. Comcast tried it and I went running to DirecTV. Better service and cheaper monthly bill.
I used to be a big fan of Verizon.....not no more. I have nothing good to say about them and anyone who asks about them will get the truth.....and that is that they will nickle and dime you to death.
Remember when they got rid of the "New Every 2" program?? And now they want me to pay for some workshop crap the I will never attend. If Verizon wants to offer "workshops" then let those who attend foot the $30.00 fee.
I hate Verizon now.

Well of course if one lives in an area where they have At&t, Verizon and Sprint as a choice and they can somehow get the activation fees waived they could avoid the upgrade fees by playing musical carriers every 2 years. Sounds like a pain in the rear just to avoid Verizon's $30 upgrade fee once every 20 months.

yes and in 2 years when you want to upgrade at&t and Sprint will charge you an upgrade fee that is even HIGHER than Verizon. T-Mobile won't, but then again you will have to pay full price for that phone. So enjoy.
