I want to switch to a Blackberry will I have to pay money to switch from my Droid Eris? Or since I'm still keeping my contract does it make a difference which phone I have?

Assuming the blackberry has been activated once before, there will be no activation fee. It would then be free to do the switch.

There is no fee to activate a previously used Verizon Wireless phone on your line. If your new phone is not compatible with your current plan a plan change will be required. Also Keep in mind that all smart phones will require a data package.

I want to exchange my HTC Droid Eris for something else but I don't want to restart my 20 month contract. That's torture. Is there a phone I can switch to for little to no money at all?

You have the option to pay the full retail cost of any device you choose, without extending your contract. Another way to obtain a different phone would be from a third-party (e.g.. eBay, Craigslist). This would also not require an extension of your agreement. When obtaining a phone in this manner, please ensure the phone reads "Verizon Wireless" and is currently compatible (E-911 capable) with our network.

Thanks,
